UNDESERVEDLY UNDERATED

This poorly ignored manuscript is a value trove of early 70's complicated prog rock. The second manuscript with a extraordinary Neil Peart behind a coop and drum kit, Caress has a tender power and frankness that a rope launched their career on. Fast relocating marks like "Bastille Day" and "I Think I'm Goin' Bald" change a dual slower judgment pieces, "The Necromancer" (thinly potential Tolkien, gotta adore it!) and "The Fountain of Lamneth." Both of a judgment pieces are classic, and preview a band's pierce into a full-blown, tough stone must-have judgment manuscript 2112 (and later, "Hemispheres"). If you're exploring a sonic universe of Rush, don't forget Caress of Steel!

UNDER-PRODUCED, UNDERRATED

If we see many people on this site observant that this manuscript is underrated, afterwards shouldn't that be a arise adult call?

Caress Of Steel seems tender and under-produced, though we consider that's what gives a manuscript it's appeal. It stars of with "Bastille Day", a rocker with talented lyrics. "I Think I'm Going Bald", notwithstanding it's quirky lyrics, is still a good song. If anything, on this sold track, it's a song that counts, that rocks and is catchy. "Lakeside Park", that is substantially my slightest favorite on here, is still a good mellow tune. "The Necromancer", is a bands initial try during a 10+ notation epic. Check out a center territory with mad guitar solos. "The Fountain Of Lamneth", Rush' initial 20 notation epic, once again, if not for a lyrics, a song some-more than creates adult for it. It goes from tough rock, to balmy clasical guitar to pop/hard stone to all out tough stone again. It's a many on-going on here.

Overall, a good bid from Rush. This is what we call a start of Rush's complicated on-going rock, and it would get some-more polished as a after releases indicate.

Next to "Hemispheres", This is a best Rush album!

I can't trust people who explain to call themselves "Rush Fans" don't puncture this album. This shining manuscript is substantially a many "Tolkien-ish" or "fantasy-like" out of a whole Rush catalog (along with "Xanadu" from Kings and "By-Tor" and "Rivendell" from Fly By Night). The "Necromancer" is oustanding, classical Rush! we trust "The Fountain of Lamneth" ranks as one of a greats along with "Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres", "2112", "Cygnus X-1", and "Xanadu". Anybody with any open mind and digs prog such as early Crimson, Genesis, Yes, Tull, and Gentle Giant will LOVE this album! For me this manuscript ranks with "Brain Salad Surgery", "Relayer", "Larks' Tongues", "A Passion Play" - on that level!

P.S.- we have not nonetheless listened a newly remastered version, though I'm certain it will not disappoint.
